The first step towards stable raw material supply...

A common problem in the process of domesticating wild plants is their reproduction and propagation. Species with interesting active agents/secondary metabolites are often adapted to extreme conditions and have developed complex reproductive strategies.

For years now we have worked with a wide variety of plants that are difficult to germinate, and have learned which methods can achieve successful propagation. In our tissue culture laboratory (in vitro facilities), elite individual specimens can be preserved or expanded into homogenous stands.
